Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in the Middle East - Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps applications on the Android platform in the Middle East demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a consistent download pattern with peak weekly downloads reaching approximately 36K in late February. The app maintained a strong user base, with weekly active users climbing from around 2.3M to over 2.5M by the end of March.

Muslim Prayer - Qibla Compass experienced a significant spike in downloads at the end of February, hitting about 72K. However, its weekly active users showed a slight decline over the quarter, starting at roughly 176K and ending at 170K, despite a brief increase in late February. Revenue peaked at $74 in early March.

Radar GO-X: HUD, GPS, Maps had a fluctuating download trend with a high of around 13K in early February. Active users mirrored this trend, peaking in early February at over 10K before settling at around 6K by the quarter's end. Revenue remained relatively stable throughout the quarter, averaging around $300 per week.

Google Earth maintained a steady download rate, with numbers ranging between 12K and 16K weekly. The app's active users showed a slight decline, starting at nearly 200K and dropping to around 174K by the end of March.

Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer had a consistent download count, peaking at approximately 10K in early January. Active users increased slightly over the quarter, ending with about 19K by the end of March.
